Colossal Hands was founded in 2016 by executive director, Alison Jensen, with a vision to reach out to those needing a helping hand in our surrounding neighborhoods of San Diego, California. As a San Diego native, Alison knows well the need of the less fortunate in our very own communities. Understanding that there is a very serious global need, Alison has focused her efforts on the needs that are present within an arm’s reach.  Alison has operated an educational based child care facility since 2006. Prior to starting a family her educational background was focused on becoming a special needs educator. She is joined by her husband Brandon (CFO), who has worked as a commercial banker at a local credit union for the past 10 years. Their two sons, Levi and Sebastian, are Colossal Hands’ first “volunteers.”
